Our beautiful batch of award-winning yabukita blend matcha from Uji, Japan
This is our imperial grade matcha that we recommend to make a great usucha or matcha latte and is closer to that "classic matcha flavour" most people know and love
- Cultivars: Yabukita-dominant blend with other proprietary cultivars
- Harvest: First harvest only (Spring 2026)
- Grind: Ball-milled (~15-20 microns)
- Altitude: 200-500 m

- Notes: classic, fresh, sweet, smooth, creamy, nutty, umami
From time to time, this matcha may have a very slightly "grainier" texture compared to some of my premium powdered teas (ball-mill vs stone-milled), but I still chose it due to its fantastic flavour, accessibility, and being able to offer this at a relatively lower price point as this was more important to me than the grind size
If you've already tried the tsuyuhikari or okumidori blend matchas, I don't need to explain the product; this is a step up
Nitrogen-gas flushed for guaranteed freshness for at least a year from processing date if kept unopened and refrigerated

Storage
squeeze out air from the zip lock bag, reseal, and refrigerate. it will last many, many months that way
do not store powdered tea at room temperature for extended periods
